I have come to the conclusion that Apple Computer will not support something
that in their mind(s) doesn't make them mucho profit. Therefore, minimal
software support and less hardware support. I suppose I'm just as guilty
for this attitude as anyone else... I have a Laser 128EX because I concluded
that not only was Apple software cheaper that IBM software but the Laser was
cheaper that Apple's machines. I regret not buying a IIgs, but then, with
the recent(?) mindset of Apple, and not ever having bought a computer before,
I think I made a pretty rational decision. And I'm not even Jewish (joke!).
I blame Apple Computer's marketing team for screwing up... they should have
spanked the whole group. As an example, on Computer Chronicles, when the
Apple IIc+ was reviewed, the woman didn't present the machine with Appleworks
but some game... this was the stupidest thing I ever saw. Anyone with any
sense would have seen that not only could Appleworks be plugged, but the
new machine. It's this sort of mentality that that is the crux of the problem.
Anyone who confines their market so narrowly should expect similar returns.

my opinions...

Andy.

Goodness, you make us sound like the mentats in Dune!

It is the drink of sapho that gives the thoughts speed
The sapho produces stains, the stains provide a warning:
It is by will alone that I set my mind in motion."
