[comp.sys.apple2] QIX from Big Red Comp. Club - backing it up

ART100@psuvm.psu.edu (Andy Tefft) (02/07/91)

Has anyone else purchased any of the Taito products from Big Red
Computer Club? I thought QIX for $5 was too good an offer to pass up.
But I'm wondering if anyone out there has figured out how to back it
up. The disk can be read by any 16-sector format program, but
the copies don't boot. I tried to bit copy it, but that didn't boot
either (was synchronizing tracks and preserving track lengths).
Will some perseverance with the bit copy help?

I would also like to be able to use the keyboard, since my joystick
is kind of flaky. Anyone have a patch :-)? Being able to copy it
onto a 3.5" disk would also be nice.

Oh, this is the //c, //e version.

I don't suppose the "win a taito game of your choice" on the warranty
card (which, by the way, is blank on the back!) is still in effect? :-)
