[comp.sys.apple2] DMA SCSI woes...

swiers@plains.NoDak.edu (Aaron Swiers) (01/08/91)

I still havn't heard from anyone on the net, but while watching TV this evening
it occurs to me that the reason the AE GSRAMTest.System file didn't find any bad
RAM chips was 'cuz they are on the motherboard....make sense to anyone? Then
again (occurs to me as I type this) that would show up on a System Test, right?

Still wondering...

Mike

I'm having troubles with my SCSI drive again. I think it's either heat or
termination. I pulled the rest of the plastic thingies off the back of my GS
to improve air-flow, and I moved my DMA SCSI from slot 6 to slot 7 while
I was at it. Since then (well, it did it some before, which is why I did
it in the first place, but it's a lot worse now) after I've spend any amount
of time in a program (normally term program) when I exit it tells me to insert
the disk boot.disk (which is my first HD partition). What does this sound like
to you?

Thanks,

Mike

P.S. What characters do the arrow keys generate in SnowTerm v2.06?
