[comp.sys.apple2] GS ShrinkIt Bug?

r.levy@cooper.cooper.EDU (Rami Levy ) (02/13/91)

I am experiencing what I think is a bug with GS ShrinkIt. It works fine,
but when I quit out of it, some garbage appears on the SHR screen where the
mouse pointer used to be, and then the computer crashes with the message:
"Unable to load necessary tools. Error #0003" with the sliding apple icon.
My setup: System Disk v.5.0.3, Apple IIgs with 4MB Ram, 40MB Hard
drive, and ROM 01.
Anyone else experienced this problem? Any idea what tools it can't
load, and why? GSSHK used to work fine, but all of the sudden this started
happening. This may or may not be related, but my Solitaire Royale also
crashes when I quit it, in almost the same way, except I can't understand
the error message (garbage characters).
Please reply to the address BELOW!!! Thanks in advance.
P.S. My compliments to Andy Nicholas and everyone who helped him, for a
FANTASTIC job with all the ShrinkIts!

I could lay a bet on this that you have some NDA or CDA that is messing up.
Did you recently add any new NDA or CDAs? I wrote an NDA that did this (I don'
