It would probably be cheaper to just get an internal modem rather than getting a card -&- a modem, unless you plan on putting it on another machine later. One thing you have to keep in mind is that Franklin Ace 1000's aren't ProDOS compatible... They lock up when you try to boot a prodos disk. BUT! There's ways around that! :) A simple patch to prodos will make it run just fine. It's incredibally simple to patch, once you have the information. I don't have it right now, but you can email rhood@pro-gsplus.cts.com (proline) and he'll be glad to give you the information. I got it from him, tried it out on my Franklin Ace 1000 and it worked just fine. After you get ProDOS working I would suggest using KERMIT to call your mainframe. P.S.
