Does anyone out there know of a good diagnostic procedure/program for old Disk ][ drives? I am interested in any procedures, tricks, hardware software, special alignment disks, etc. I'm very familiar with disk drive troubleshooting and alignment for standard (PC) floppy drives but don't know a lot about troubleshooting and repairing old Apple drives (and I've owned two for _years_. Go figure....). Any help is gratefully appreciated in advance! Please post replies here. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jeffrey T. In-Reply-To: message from jeffb@world.std.com I always use AppleCillin. It's an old DOS 3.3 program but it does the job very well. Apple drives are easy to fix and align. There's a book out by SAMS in Indianapolis that goes over the whole procedure.
