What's the difference between a unidisk 3.5" disk drive and the the 3.5" drive that all the other apples use? I have a //c that I'd like to get a 3.5" drive for, but I don't like the idea of spending $300 on a drive that I can't use on a gs or mac. Even more annoying is the fact that the other type of 3.5" drives are available for <$200. Is there any way to modify the drive or the //c to make the more common drive work? -- Jeff Quigley Convex Computer Corporation quigley@convex.com 3000 Waterview Parkway Richardson, TX 75080 (214) 497-4439

The unidisk 3.5 and the other Apple disk 3.5 differ in that the Unidisk has a 65C02 inside that runs things. The Mac/Apple 3.5 doesn't and will not work on the IIc, and as I understand the reverse is also true, although I haven't tried that combination. Bob Beason beason@geneseo.bitnet
