I am currently working on converting (via software) an Apple /// to an Apple ][. The /// has a disk called 'Apple ][ emulator' which allows the /// to reboot itself as an Apple ][, and accept Apple ][ software. This /// also has a Profile external hard drive. This hard drive is not yet formatted. I want to format the hard drive under Apple ][ emulation, but the emulation program only gives a choice between Applesoft or Integer Basic (it is copywrite 1980, 1981). Is there any DOS utility which will 1) recognize the hard drive (who's controller card is installed in the ///'s port #1, unless I should change to a different slot), and 2) format it? Or, is there a way for it to recognize ProDOS and possibly format the hard drive under ProDOS (prefered format?) If anyone can offer help, please e-mail me directly to: sehrlich@lynx.northeastern.edu Thank you very much in advance. Scott P.S. This is not my Apple ///, but I have virtually full and flexible control over its setup. P.P.S. I have FTP capabilities, so if there is a program available via Anonymous FTP, I can get it. (I have an Apple ][c at home which I use extensively for communications).
