I am trying to find a good DOS-independant scheme for reading in various blocks on a ProDOS formatted 800K disk and chuck them all around my GS's 16-banks of RAM. I'd prefer something like a SmartPort ReadBlock call, but sadly can't find any documentation for it. Can someone show me how to do an Extended SmartPort ReadBlock? Thanks. ________________________ _________________________ | ProLine: crew@pro-harvest | | Internet: crew@pro-harvest.cts.com | | UUCP: crash!pro-harvest!crew | | ARPA: crash!pro-harvest!crew@nosc.mil | |_______________ BITNET: crew%pro-harvest.cts.com@nosc.mil _________________|

The IIgs firmware reference manual has all the info on extended smartport. Todd Whitesel toddpw @ tybalt.caltech.edu
