I have received several requests to repost my 65c820 article. Rather than do that (it is rather long) I have made it available via anonymous ftp. You can get it from the "PC" directory at ucrmath.ucr.edu via anonymous ftp. Interested parties should look there. If you do not have anonymous ftp access, send me mail and I will attempt to mail you the article(s). You may need to keep on me for this, though. The 65c820 article is named 65c820txt. There is a second article named "Proposal" which describes a propose standard syntax for 65c816 assembly language I wrote. I even held a conference on it a couple of years ago at the Az-Apple fair. Alas, there was no convincing Westerfield or Bredon to change their "defacto standards". Fitzgerald was willing to go along (Lisa/816), but that would only have produced yet another syntax variant. Just what we need. IMHO the syntax described in the Proposal is really neat, and much more powerful than existing assemblers today (on *any* machine, not just the GS). There were several people on the committee which proposed this standard. Many of them came up with some really good ideas. The proposal is definitely worth looking at if you're an assembly language programmer. BTW, if anyone out there has the '832 spec sheets, I would be willing to scan it in and post it on the net if you're willing to mail it to me. *** Randy Hyde .
