Many thanks to the many fine folks who rushed to respond to my plea for help. I neglected to mention in my first posting that I got the EXEC files directly from Columbia, version 3.87, EXEC'ed them specifying the SSC driver, and turned interrupts on. Still getting the one-shot problem: only the first character I type gets through. I suspect that the problem may be that the IIe in question is not necessarily enhanced. I just found out how to check that, but haven't had a chance to try it yet. Meanwhile, if anyone else has any ideas, I'd be glad to hear from you, because we still haven't got Kermit to run on this machine. Thanks again.
