I wonder if someone could tell me how I can use a MAC internal FLOPPY drive on my //gs. Do I need a special cord or do I need major modifications. -King Lerch

The mac internal 800K is exactly the same mechanism that's in the Apple 3.5. You'll need to duplicate the rewiring that occurs between the Disk port cable and the bare 3.5 mechanism. If you have an Apple 3.5 already, you can open it and figure out how the little teeny board in the back is wired, it handles the rewiring and the daisy-chain capability (which you probably don't need). The board I'm talking about is almost all wires, so if you are good with a continuity checker (or you can probably follow the traces) you should be able to figure out the pinout for the cable you'll need without a lot of trouble. Anybody have a pinout already done? I haven't come across a pinout for the necessary cable so far. Todd Whitesel toddpw @ tybalt.caltech.edu
