What's the word on HypercardGS? Wasn't it supposed to be out by mid-February? "Inquiring minds want to know." I have the release version of HyperCardGS (it came on the Gorillas in the Disc CD) and supposidly boxed copies of it have been seen in places. I'll give a more comprehensive review of it later since I only installed it last night, but at first glance, it seems *very* well done. It comes with a nice complement of training and tour stacks, and seems to be very complete in its implementation. The HyperMover stacks to get Mac stacks to the IIgs was also included, though I haven't tried it, and its still in beta form. To its detriment, it seems a little slow (since I don't have an accelerator, *everything* is slow), the installer would not install to my Mac IIfx which currently resides as an System 7.0/Appleshare server for my GS but instead would only install to my hard drive. I'm not sure why, although you are supposed to be able to install and run it from a networked enviroment. And it takes 1.5 megs of RAM to run (I have 4) and 3.5 megs of hard drive space. It also seems to like NDAs alot more than when the last betas were released. More soon as I get to play with it... --Rick Ewing Vanderbilt University
