OK, the dumbest guy in the world is STILL having problems with the archives on ummts.cc.umich.edu under the pc5 directory. I think the files are in EBCDIC (or whatever is called the stupid ibm format). FTP ASCII automatically converts them. I hope your problem was this one. SOFT14
