I am looking for a copy of the installer of Bird's Better BYE to ProDOS 8
v1.8. I have discovered that a bug I discovered in ACOS v2.1 only
occurred when I ran it from a BBBed ProDOS 8 v1.7, but not when I ran it
from v1.8 without BBB. I want BBB, since I can't stand the brain-damaged
quit routine in the standard old ProDOS, and I prefer its 40-column
selector to things like SQUIRT.SYSTEM. Also I don't want to worry about
downloading the whole GS/OS yet again to just get P8 v1.9, which I hear is
also 80 column.
ACOS, BTW, is the language that GBBS "Pro" runs in, and is a special BASIC
for use with modems, from L&L Productions. Myself, I am losing patience
with it. Apparently it is currently assuming too much.
If anyone knows precisely what ACOS' problem with it is, that would be
nice to know as well. Give something for Lance Taylor-Warren to look
into.
