[comp.sys.apple2] PROGRAM SEARCH

m.tiernan@pro-angmar.UUCP (Michael Tiernan) (10/12/90)

I'm looking for a program of some form that will allow me to list a BASIC
program "neatly". There used to be a Beagle Bros utility that allowed you to
list to the screen in neat format (multiple statements per line each on a
line...). Does anyone know of such a thing? The Beagle Bros utility was for
DOS 3.3 so it doesn't do me too much good now. I needed it for ProDOS.

Thanks muchly everyone.

Beagle Bros. used to sell GPLE which might help. I don't
remember all of the many things it did, but it might give you
	what you want.

Sounds like you don't need the Beagle Bros. program, you could probably build
(program) it yourself. The program should convert the target BASIC program
into a text file, and read each line off the text file. A text.file works
both in DOS3.3 and ProDOS. A short BASIC program should handle the job.

Try it. You'll be amazed at what you can do.

Yahhh... If we're both thinking about the same beagle bros. utility
(xlister?), you can transfer the two files that it requires over to a
ProDOS disk and use it. Works fine. Been a couple years since I've done
it, but remember it worked...

I've been going a little bonkers trying to find a copy of DAC Easy
Accounting for the ][e (5.25"). If anybody's got a copy and is willing to
send it to me, you will be forever blessed. Such a deal. This ware was
discontinued by the lovely people at DAC, who didn't even have a copy to
sell me when I inquired directly. So don't rant at me about piracy! It's
not piracy if you can't even buy the bloody thing when you try. (All the
mailorder outfits have discontinued it, too.) If you can help me, please
send to: Pete, 1101 SW Washington #140, Portland, OR 97205. I've got tons
of other wares, so if said Good Samaritan wants something, say the word.
