I have a question regarding the ][GS system tools. For a while now, I have been wanting to run a rather large program, SoundSmith, but I lacked the memory to do so. Today, I finally got another 512K of memory, bringing my total to 1.25 Meg. I was finally able to launch SoundSmith, but I got a crash anyway, because I did not have the proper tools installed (I think). I knew that a bunch of system tools were available at apple.com, but I had never needed them before. I downloaded the tools and unpacked them to a new disk. However, when I tried to run the installer on the tool disk, I only had room on my system disk for the smallest of new tools. Now since I know that certain applications require different tools, some of which do not come on the plain-vanilla system disk, how do I run applications that require the extra tools if I don't have enough room on the system disk for them? Is there some way to tell the system disk to have launched applications look on another disk for the required tools? Or is a hard drive absolutely necessary to use the new tools? Argh, I'm so frustrated. Any help would be *greatly* appreciated. Sean
