I've been using GSVT for a little while now and it's REALLY cool. I don't know if the guy who wrote this is reading this or not. It COULD use some work as far as different options etc. Mabye I have an old version (1.45) Does anyone know of a later version. Or possibly another GS/OS terminal program? _ _ _ _ | | / ) | | | | | | / / _ | | | | | | / / (_) _ ____ ______ | | ______ _ __ ____ | | | |/ / _ | | / __ \ ./ ___ \ | | / ___ \ | | / \ / __ \ | | ___ | _ \ | || |/ / | || (_^_) )| | | (_^_) | | |/ /\_)| / \_)| |/ \ | | \ \ | || _/ | |(____ || | \ _____/__| _/ | | __| ___ | | | \ \ | || | | | \/\/) )| |_____ \ \____/ /| | | |__/ /| ( ) | |_| \_)|_||_| |_| ____/ / |_______) \______/ |_| \____/ |_| |_| (______/ AWG0971@RITVAX.ISC.RIT.EDU

Or possibly another GS/OS terminal program? There's Snowterm2.06 which is quite nice, and Agate069 which will handle ANSI,vt100 graphics and has zmodem( it's not a GS/OS program, but Snowterm is). I have a ROM03, and tried running ver1.45 of GSVT. It just hangs. The 4010 tek emulation seems tempting. Will it actually generate tek graphics on the screen? Also, is there a version which runs on a ROM03? I believe 1.45 was a 1989 vintage. Philip philip@utstat.utoronto.ca

Since we're posting GSVT requests-- if the author is out there reading, I'd really appreciate a modification that would allow a null modem driver. I have an Ericsson TAU 2620, 9600 baud which is supposed to be Hayes compatible but often loses data when I use the "Hayes compatible" selection on terminal programs (such as GSVT). Null modem works fine. If this modification is made I will gladly make a much-o bucks contribution for the program. Rocky

In-Reply-To: message from philip@utstat.uucp I would not get Agate other then to just "see" what it does, (not much) it is interesting to see a double hires communications program and I think it might be a nice program for us 8 bit apple people but it's not complete it doesn't really work.

At least Agate069 has a "correct" version of zmodem that works. It certainly is not the answer for GS users( that will have to wait a bit), but can you indicate another program which handles ANSI, vt100, and zmodem/ymodem? I am more interested in another GS/OS program that has a lot of promise for the GS community, as well as GSVT's alledged tek4010 emulation. philip philip@utstat.utoronto.ca
