About STACK Computer Science R & D Group

The STACK group (Science Technology and Computer Knowledge) was founded one
year ago in the Lebedev Physical Institute (USSR Academy of Sciences) as a
team of high-qualified young experts in computer technology and automation
support of physical experimentation.
We are six now. Five of us are graduates of the Moscow Physical Technical
Institute, and one of Moscow State University. Our previous expertise
includes research in informatics, electronics, physics and chemistry at the
Academy of Science.

We have multiple projects concerning software and hardware experimentation
support. Due to the rapid development cycle (several hours to several
days), we succeeded in practical implementations of some of our ideas as
prototype units. Investigation is in progress to supplement all the planned
design with software media based on the newest ideas in category theory
application.
Some of our results were highly appreciated by Soviet experts. We received
a number of scientific and commercial proposals in our country. In June
1990 we presented our designs at the "First International Computer Forum".
Some of them aroused interest of the cutting-edge hardware and software R &
D companies.
We are eager to broaden our scientific and commercial contacts with Soviet
and foreign companies.

                 AppleGraf - Two Channel 12bit DAC/ADC board

AppleGraf is a peripheral board which is inserted directly into any Apple
II+, IIe or Apple IIgs Personal Computer.

Short technical description:

- Two identical independent channels
- Each Channel can work as DAC or ADC
- 12 bit, 25usec DAC, onboard reference voltage
- 0-8190 mV range of DAC output
- 12bit, 250Hz ADC (convert time is about 4msec)
- 0-4095mV range of ADC input
- Two TTL digital inputs
- One 900usec relay and TTL output
- Software drivers support all AppleGraf modes

AppleGraf Software enables you to use a analog X-Y recorder (or other
voltage controlled X-Y table) as a computer controlled plotter. AppleGraf
Software includes a interactive graphical vector editor. Assembler language
and BASIC utilities enable you to export data to the vector editor and to
plot curves directly from user's BASIC program.

The product is sold "as-is" together with a manual written in english.
Support for questions and problems is available directly via Internet mail
from the author at STACK group (see Internet address below!). The board has
been already installed in a number of systems in the USSR and is known to
be bug-free.

AppleGraf is offered at an extremely lowe price of $119 plus
shipping/handling.
In Germany, the price is: 149,- DM
