I have to agree with Larry on the speed.   The mac implimentation is
slowwwww.  On a Mac II the GS is atleast twice as fast even with 1000
byte packets.  However if you put it on a Mac IIci it just speeds along.
the processing takes all the time.  This is why we go to Y or zmodem instead of
xmodem isn't it the 128 byte packets (kermit default is 80) instead of the
ymodem 1000 that slow it down.  similarly if you set kermit 20 250 or mac
kermit to 1000 there is a noticable increase in speed.
