How many fonts can one place in the font folder? I had a problem earlier that if I place too many fonts in the font folder, some of my GS application wouldn't run properly, it said it had a $004C problem and couldn't load up the proper tools. I tried everything to fix it and finally discover that the font folder was the culprit. So what is the maximum number of fonts you can have in the folder. Also, if someone has the fontloader DA, could you please upload it to comp.binaries.apple2. Later, Doug

No problems yet. The only with large folders like that (and has nothing to do with being a font folder) is that the SFGetFile and SFGetFile2 routines don't handle it well. You should be able to hit an alphabetic key, and it will jump to the first file beginning with that letter. Doesn't work with a crowded folder.
