How about wings? It copys files far faster and better, in my opinion. If you
open a big folder with around 200-300 files, it doesn't sit there and wait for
you to go out for lunch. You can also use standard apple commands like open
apple select and unselect. Shift for all files up to etc... It also has the
other options the finder does like verify and format etc...

I like Wings a lot, especially for it's double-window approach for
copying files (file window for source and file window for destination).

I still think it's a hell of a lot slower than the Finder though..
ESPECIALLY if you are trying to copy from one floppy to another. It copies
files ONE BY ONE, rather than copying as many as will fit into memory at a time.

I hope to buy the GS/OS manual sometime in the future and write a
small application or desk accessory that will be an amalgam of the best of the
Finder and the best of Wings.. (i.e. Wings' interface and the Finder's
don't-spit-anything-out-to-disk-until-memory-is-full characteristic)

By the way could you PLEASE cut down your .signature? Even at 2400
baud it is annoying, especially when there are a few messages by you in a
row. I used to have a message trailer as big or bigger than yours on BBSes,
and people harped at me about it. I was obstinate and didn't want to change
it. I have since (in the past 7 years of modemming) realized that they
MAY have had a point.. (heh heh)

Especially when you're using "other people's" networks, it'd be nice
if you shortened your .sig... (and didn't quote a WHOLE message to add 2
lines of comment.. That's not specifically to you, but to EVERYONE who does it.
I've seen people quote a whole 100 line message and add 2 lines on!)
