[comp.sys.apple2] Music player of //e

DWHITNEY@FORDMRH1.BITNET (04/21/91)

The music player program you are refering to is SoftDac by Scott Alfter (great
job :-)). It'll let you play any sound file from a mac that was sampled at
11 mhz. (to mac people that's 2:1 playback). It requires a 128k //. I think
Scott posted it to Tybalt.Caltech.Edu, along withn 1/2 meg of sound files (some
Star Trek stuff). I also saw the sound files on GEnie last night. I'm sure
SoftDac is there somewhere too.

Happy listening!

alfter@nevada.edu (SCOTT ALFTER) (04/23/91)

I just checked tybalt. While I did send a bunch of sound files there,
it only has the 48K version of SoftDAC. Time to put the 128K version
on tybalt...

(Also, the Skunk Works BBS will (hopefully) go online sometime in the
next week. If you don't mind a long-distance call, you'll be able to
grab current versions of SoftDAC straight from the source.)
