Whats the big deal with agates zmodem download I set all the settings
correctly and then timed it against a y modem download. The results-
Agate69s Z-modem took 30 seconds longer on an 8k file than Readylinks
y-modem send. Any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong?

I had an ever worse problem. I attempted to download a binary file. The download 'completed' and so i got off. It was a .SHK file, so I went into ShrinkIt 3.2.3 and took a look. It reported no errors, but only had the first file listed. When I looked at the file, it was only 20 k long - the original was 60k! -- Larry W. Oh yeah, speaking of Agate, and the huge (relative) BinSCII files, can people please upload things as several messages? This makes it much easier to catch it with a copy buffer, especially with PC Pursuit. Those of us at ProLine sites have to deal with XMODEM as the -only- means of transferring files, and again, this is -painful- over PC Pursuit...
