[comp.sys.apple2] funny result with GetPrefix

acmfiu@serss0.fiu.edu (ACMFIU) (05/04/91)

i used GetPrefix with a prefix number of 0 to get the default prefix. now,
Finder says the prefix i was in was named, '/dev/orca/src/ls'. note the
lower case. now, when i use GetPrefix, it returns ':dev:orca:SRC:LS'. can
anyone explain this?

That's just the way GS/OS returns prefixes. It uses colons and the case is
exactly as it was given by SetPrefix. Finder processed the prefix to have all
lowercase and use slashes. Maybe Finder uses the old P16 GetPrefix, I don't
know. But your result was quite normal.
