I have a request/question for all C programmers (Orca/C): I have been playing Jason Harper's port of Moria 4.83 on the gs for quite awhile now, and recently, from reading the rec.games.moria sub., discovered that there is a bug in this version that makes the game virtually impossible to solve; the problem being that none of the goodies at level 50 can be found, that means no Ring of speed, Amulet of Magi, etc. A fellow player adviced me to get uMoria 5.3.1, which is the latest verison of Moria out, but as far as I know, this version doesn't exist on the GS, just on the IBM, Mac, Amiga, etc. My question/request is: HOW hard will it be to compile Moria using Orca/C v1.2? and WOULD someone please do it? I understand that the source codes can be found via FTP (which I don't have access to.) I would try to compile it myself, except I can't get to the source codes, and I am a real beginner at C, and most likely will fail in my attempt. Would some kind soul be willing to port the newest version of Moria for our beloved GS? (If it CAN be ShareWare, I am willing to pay for it.) Jimmy Shaw jimmys@ics.uci.edu
