Stephan Brown wanted to know how to fix a DuoDisk so that it will
work on a IIgs SmartPort.

To keep your DuoDisk from killing certain copy protected software:
Your DuoDisk is laid out as a grid. Find location A,1 and B,1.
The letter portion is on the side and the numeric is on the top.
You will find Capacitors C29 and C30 respectively; they are HARD
to find; mine were under other components. CUT THEM OFF!!!

To remove the resistor that keeps your DuoDisk from running on a
SmartPort, you first identify your analog board.
    For board #'s 676-*101 & 676-*102 remove R8
    For board # 676-*107 remove R39
The asterix (*) above is a shiny spot on the board in the
    shape of a square.

That's all there is to it; it works!!!!

For Sale: Apple IIc with mouse, joy stick, 1.125 Meg Ram. If you
want, you could get a Zip chip or 65816 chip with it. You could also
get a UniDisk 3.5. AppleWorks and the other usual software. I also
have a Apple IIc+. What I want is to get my daughter a gs.

I have upgraded my ZipGS to 64k; thus, I have two sets of 8k chips.
If anyone has bought one of the new models with only 8k of cache
memory, I'd be happy to sell you one of the sets.  Zip wants $19.95;
I'll take $12.

Wanted: Imagewriter or equivlant.
          A copy of DOS 3.3e
