Many word processors, spreadsheet, and Database packages have a feature that will save the file/files on the desktop at a timed interval. My question to the net is this: Does anyone have or know of a patch that will do this for Appleworks V 3.x? I don't care if it's Freeware, Shareware, Beggarware, commercial...I just want one. Preferably one that will allow me to select my own interval and then only save the file that is being worked on and then only if it has been changed. It couldn't be all that hard considering that Appleworks has routines to check for modifications to the dekstop files and for autosave directly overwriting with the existing filename (oa - s) So if you know of one please mail me.... I don't have the money for battery backup equiptment and my particular location is prone to power failures. _____________________________________________________________________________ | Robert Mayer | The ideas in this message do not | | maye_ltd@uhura.cc.rochester.edu | necessarily reflect those of the author| | MAYELTD@UORVM.BITNET | or anyone else for that matter... | |___________________________________|_________________________________________|

I believe I saw a listing for a TO Macro in the Apple2 Library of Genie that provides timed backups; I am quite sure it was posted in the past week. As I don't like timed backups, I turn it off on WordPerfect, I did not download it. Ray Waxmonsky (waxmonrw@snybufva)
