[comp.sys.apple2] Retrieving files from backup

Quick question:  My Sider D4 HD crashed.  Using just the floppies, how can I
recover files from the backup disks?  The backup util seems to have used all
800K on the backup disks, but every util I try to use to access the
data says there's no files on the disks.  I assume it saves the data from
the HD as one large 800K stream on each disk, but unless my hard drive is up
and running, how can I access the data?

The floppies that came with the Sider don't seem to be able to do a restore
(or even a file check), its sole funtion seems to be to initialize the
hard drive.

If I'm missing something trivial, don't be afraid to make me look like an
idiot.  Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.
