However, I hope it's true.. One thing I do not think we need to do here is speculate about a rumor. I beleive we just got done with a stream of posts about where rumors get us (nowhere). If something happen with the Apple II then great, but I do not think we should treat this as anything more then just rumor. No need to get your hopes up and then have them splattered all over come July when System 6.0 is released and no new Apple II come out. Don't get me wrong, I would really like to see a new unit, but I am not holding my breath over the possibility of it happening. In a latter post someone mention that they did not like the fact that the GS windows had a white background with black text. They thought it should be the other way around. I think not. User definable yes, but black windows with white text, no way. Neil - ------------ TBW (The Bird Watch) Sports - Baltimore Orioles! ------------- Neil M. Runyon | What is TWB Sports? Rumors spark interest and even get people on the ball to create something when a rumor fails, but but rumors are not the reason I'm replying... read below... > In a latter post someone mention that they did not like the fact >that the GS windows had a white background with black text. (OK, I know this is my third time commenting on this, but I feel very strongly about this...) Alot of us would say, "but white windows with black text, no way!" It just has to do with personal preference. I don't think it should be 'forced' one way or the other, but user selectable, much like Windows 3.0. That's one of the FEW things I actually LIKE about MS-Windows. > Neil - > >------------ TBW (The Bird Watch) Sports - Baltimore Orioles! ------------- >Neil M. Runyon | What is TWB Sports? Well if Apple allowed users to set the color pallete of the finder then they would be ripping of Windows 3.0 (which allows the user to just that.) Looks like we might see a reverse lawsuit :) [ Call... 9600bps/60meg ][ Drew Rudman ] [ The Charge ][ ] [ Apple ][ IBM ][ Internet: drudman@hpiosa.corp.hp.com ] [ (415) 321-4713 ][ The Charge BBS: Axe Slinger (#1) ]

I don't think its on and of the FTP sites, but I will try and upload it this weekend to comp.binaries.Apple2, or as I see it WUARCHIVE. I think we might see a counter-reverse lawsuit instead. ;-) -- Brian T.
