I have a little question... what is Fatal error 0911?
Some people tell me that it is an overheated error... but I have
System Saver GS on top of my computer. Besides, I only have a few
cards... AI's stereo card, an OctoRAM with 2MB installed and nothing
more.
It has occurred a few times per day, nearly everyday, and I am getting
quite annoyed. Can anybody help?

Hey, first time posting, but here goes. I have had long standing problems with error 0911. Unlike most people it happens to me only when the computer is cold. Turning it on in a cold room always gets me the 0911 error message. I thought something on the subject appeared once in A2-Central, but now I can't find it. Anybody?

Well, more showed up in Computist than did in A2-Central.. The general jist is that the problem is heat related, and the more cards you have, the more likely you are to have a problem.. On my //gs, it's so bad, that I *HAVE* to run it without a top on the computer, the $0911 error occours THAT regularly.. Computist's fix was to get a small light, hook it up the the fan outputs that most people don't use, and put the light on top of the ADB controller.. I never tried it, but it makes sense.... ---- ProLine: steveb@pro-novapple Internet: steveb@pro-novapple.cts.com UUCP: crash!pro-novapple!steveb ARPA: crash!pro-novapple!steveb@nosc.mil
