has anyone had problems with this? many times the fan isn't active. however, i can sometimes start the fan manually (get your favorite pen/pencil, insert between blades, and move) and eventually it will run on its own. however, it's been down lately and florida weather is not exactly cool now. i don't even have the lid on as i need to do the routine above all too often. and, since AE now has 1-900 number for tech support, i will consider this a last resort to fix the problem. albert
