A friend (Peter Watson) has to convert a fair number of mac Excel spreadsheets to AppleWorks 3.0 spreadsheets. He has written a program to do most of the work. Well actually converting the SYLK files to DIF with formulae which AppleWorks will read. However there are a number of fields used in the SYLK format that he has not figured out. Apparently the SYLK format is owned by Lotus (according to Microsoft). The question is does anyone have a copy of the format that they could mail to me quickly - it would save the time of getting the information from Lotus. A second question, the same guy wanted to know if anyone has written a Ram based /ram5 driver. If there is one available could you let me know. A ram based driver could offer features not included in the standard one. -- Stephen Harker phs172m@vaxc.cc.monash.edu.au Monash University Baloney baffles brains: Eric Frank Russell
