AE has said (in their America On-Line product support board) that they have no current plans for speeding up the TWGS clock beyond 7MHz. This may be partly due to the unavailability of significantly faster 65816 chips in quantity. I installed the TWGS cache upgrade and noticed the improvement in effective speed for many applications. I can't help you decide whether to upgrade the TWGS or replace it with a ZipGSx.
