Apologies to those who do not remember my situation... I got the new cable setup. Now I have the RamFast set up so that the Quantum supplies terminating power (as it should). The directories still get trashed. I tried putting the RamFast in another slot, I tried taking the drive out of the case, I tried standing on my head (not actually). No good. Before I return the RamFast, I wanted to run some tests on the hard drive. So I hook it up to a Macintosh, and subject it to lots of tests. No problem with the drive. So the RamFast goes back today.
