EJK109@psuvm.psu.edu (01/24/91)

I recieved a old modem from someone. It has no cords and I have no idea
how to hook it up or even if I can. I was hopeing someone could turn me in
the right direction. My computer is a apple IIGS. If you have any suggestions
please send them to me.

Being an inexperienced Applesloth programmer, I could use some assistance
with a programming problem: How can you send a string of characters to the
modem and display them at the same time?

One way would be to set the duplex on the modem so that you have local echo
enabled.. how to do so depends on what modem you're using (SSCs can usually
do it through a softswitch setting).
