[comp.sys.apple2] Publishing heatseeker

talk to A2-Central, publishers of 8/16-central, about having them publish
heatseeker in their monthly disk-based magazine. they might require source
to it though (i won't get into your argument about why you won't release
source, i covered that in email). however, 8/16 is kinda desperate for 8-bit
stuff and you probably could make some deal with them about not releasing
your source.

of course you'd have to include docs and maybe you could just say how you
did what in heatseeker (with pseudo-code).

incidentally, for any of you 8-bit programmers out there, chances are
*very* good that if you make a program for the IIe 8/16-central will
publish it. as i said, they're kinda desperate for 8-bit stuff. they also
pay well. they only buy the rights to publish your program in their
magazine. they ask that you wait 3/4 months since the date of publication
that you release your program either shareware/pdware to the world (so they
can milk your program for all it's worth for 3/4 months).

if you ask me, it's a real good way to make money and nice people to make
it with.

I've been considering this, but I don't know. The program isn't
anywhere near completion, and putting it into the mag seems lime the kind
of idea you'd do when there's no other options (selling it yourself,
professional publishers, etc.).

Just for kicks, though, what's their address / email address? I'll
get in touch and see what they have to offer..
