I have managed to get MetaFont up on Xenix 2.3.2 and it passes the trap test and generates good font files for all the TeX fonts. I tried it on the cmman.mf which was part of the utilityfonts and this is an excerpt from the cmman.log: This is METAFONT, C Version 1.7 (preloaded base=cmbase 90.2.27) 27 FEB 1990 22:13 **&cmbase \mode=localfont; \mag=magstep0; \batchmode; \input cmman (/usr/local/lib/mf/inputs/cmman.mf (/usr/local/lib/mf/inputs/cmtt10.mf) [48] (/ usr/local/lib/mf/inputs/cmssq8.mf) [12] [13] (/usr/local/lib/mf/inputs/cmr10.mf ) Parentheses >> body_depth# ! Internal quantity `chardp' must receive a known value. <to be read again> ; beginchar->...R1);charht:=(EXPR2);chardp:=(EXPR3); w:=hround(charwd*hppp);h:=... <for(0)> ...ncr.code,7u#,body_height#,body_depth#) ;italcorr.body_height#*sla... l.100 endfor I can't set an internal quantity to anything but a known numeric value, so I'll have to ignore this assignment. [... repeats many more times ...] Font metrics written on cmman.tfm. Output written on cmman.300gf (22 characters, 6580 bytes). What am I doing wrong? Anyone have an idea? ---Kayvan -- | Kayvan Sylvan @ Transact Software, Inc. -*- Los Altos, CA (415) 961-6112 | | Internet: kayvan@{mrspoc.Transact.com, eris.berkeley.edu, net.bio.net} | | UUCP: ...!{apple,pyramid,bionet,mips}!mrspoc!kayvan "Imagine Cute Saying" |
