This seems to be a problem I would imagine a number of people have run into. With tables that run longer than one page, it seems necessary to use multicolumns to specify captions. Fine enough. (Along with this it's necessary to begin and end the tabular and table environments for each new page.) Some tables I have are 5-6 pages long, which causes `LaTeX's memory to be exceeded'. Resorting to splitting up the file causes page numbering problems, and is more or less a big inconvenience something like a word processor would give :-). I've seen some TeX table macros, but they didn't seem to address this problem. Any help appreciated, Chris Paulse Memorial Univ. ... could someone post a list of Journals that are taking TeX electronic manuscripts. Some Math journals were mentioned earlier on.
