The title says it all. Does anyone know of a dvi driver that uses something other than simply the graphics mode of the deskjet (i.e., either sorft fonts or cartridge fonts)? My machine is a 3B1 sysV unix box. I have a dvidj driver that uses the graphics mode, but printing with this takes a great deal of time, and I suspect that using the capabilities of the printer better would speed thing up very considerably. Since I am a very heavy user of TeX/LaTeX (boy, I sound like an addict), this is a constant source of frustration. Thanks very much for any and all advice. Mark crimmins@csli.stanford.edu
