lenny@icus.ICUS.COM (Lenny Tropiano) (04/07/90)
I've run into a problem that seems to have erratic results when I format my resume using LaTeX. I'm using TeX 2.93, sometimes I get weird spacing in the middle of words. The spaces aren't consistent throughout the document (ie. the same word appears later, and is spaced normally). For example the word "Software" had a little extra space between like so "Soft_ware" (NOTE: that the "_" isn't a full space, it's like a millimeter off...) It's annoying. I've had the same problem with the "\tt" teletype font when I say "lenny@icus.ICUS.COM" it would put a space between the I and the C in "ICUS". I have small amounts of extra space between the word "Accounts" after the "n" and before the "t". What can I do about this? The dvi file is processed and converted to Laserjet+ output with dvijep to be printed on a Brother HL-8e laser printer. Since I'm new to the TeX-world, it could be a procedural problem ... where should I look? -Lenny -- | Lenny Tropiano ICUS Software Systems lenny@icus.ICUS.COM | | {ames, pacbell, decuac, sbcs, hombre, rayssd}!icus!lenny attmail!icus!lenny | +------ ICUS Software Systems -- PO Box 1; Islip Terrace, NY 11752 ------+
