[comp.text.tex] Want: Small set of fonts for LaTeX for IBM-PC

irani@umn-cs.cs.umn.edu (Erach Irani) (05/28/90)

Hi,
I've installed SBTEX on the IBM-PC, got LATEX to run on it,
and now I need a set of fonts (I guess it is either pk or gf fonts)
so that I can print and hopefully preview on a vga/ega/hercules monitor,
definetely VGA.

Is there a small set of sufficient fonts somewhere. I usually
use the art11.sty style in LaTeX. FOnts I've seen are 3 - 6 MB and that
is too much disk space.

I need to print on an HP Laserjet +, am using Beebe's dvijep,
but need the fonts. What are the soft fonts on an HP Laserjet. There,
were several of them (*.sfp) at Waterloo

	Thanks,
	erach (irani@cs.umn.edu)

If you get the Em-TeX distribution from terminator.cc.umich.edu, it has
a previewer
that uses the LJ fonts and a good LJ II driver.
