My site does not recieve this group; sorry if this question has already been asked a hundred times... I've just installed mf and tex recently. I am using them to format tex files to send to a LaserWriter. Well, at least that's what I'm trying to do. I currently have a lot of .mf files and a lot of .tfm files. What I need for the conversion program I have is .pk files. OK, I figure mf "\mode=imagen; input cmcsc10" will create a cmcsc10.300gf file that can be gftopk'd into cmcsc10.300pk. Nope. Instead out comes cmcsc10.2602gf. I've tried several different combinations of magnification, all to no avail. PLEASE, can someone tell me how to get a usable cmcsc10.300gf file from what I have? Any pointers, suggestions, help, general info, etc. gleefully accepted; but PLEASE E-mail them to david@pirates.uucp or uunet!pirates!david since we do not receive this group. Thanks, David Brown david@pirates.uucp
