Hai, TeX just sugested that I went and looked for a TeX wizard. So here's the problem. I just got hold of some dutch hyphenation rules, which I want to install. I've installed TeX 2.93 myself. So I know a little about the thing. Running 'initex plain', with the dutch hyphen.tex in de current directory results in: ( cut short ) hyphenation (hyphen.tex ! TeX capacity exceeded, sorry [pattern memory=8000]. l.4892 ond3sj If you really absolutely need more capacity, you can ask a wizard to enlarge me. Now I looked in tex.web for the declaration of the hyphen size, which is indeed 8000. So far so good. But the comment next to the declaration suggests that while running 'initex' this space should be enlarged. So now I'm caught, what is my problem?? Anybody out there with clues? O yes: I'm running on Apollo/Domain OS10.2 BSD4.3 and the installation of TeX did not cause any trouble what so ever.
