[comp.text.tex] bbfig for MacPaint figures ??

eho@clarity.Princeton.EDU (Eric Ho) (06/29/90)

Does anyone out there know of a working bbfig that would figure out the
boundingbox corrdinates of a MacPaint figure for me ? I need to incorporate
this figure into my Latex docs and right now I need to print out this figure
from MacPaint first and then superimpose it onto a graph paper (via
graphpaper.ps) to find out the 4 coordinates. I would rather have something
to automate this chore for me though.

Thanks.

The new version of bbfig, just posted to comp.lang.postscript, does
just fine on Mac PS files. You need something like macps to 'sanitize'
the file and get it more-or-less encapsulated, and then the new bbfig
will give you the bounding box.
