[comp.text.tex] TeX 3.0

tchow@ub.d.umn.edu (Timothy Chow) (07/10/90)

I know this is a faq, but a list of faq hasn't been posted for a while.

Where can I get TeX 3.0? (Preferably C rather than Pascal, for use on a
Sun SPARCstation.)

You want to order the Unix TeX tape from University of Washington.
Much of what you want/need *can* be FTP'd, but the money the
UnixTeX project receives from tapes is used to support further
development in UnixTeX and to provide a UnixTeX support center.
(yes, that's right, when GFtoDVI doesn't compile on your system,
there's a number you can call to talk to somebody at UW to find
out what you need to do to fix it).

For more information about the UnixTeX distribution, send e-mail
to elisabet@max.acs.washington.edu
