I know this is a faq, but a list of faq hasn't been posted for a while. Where can I get TeX 3.0? (Preferably C rather than Pascal, for use on a Sun SPARCstation.)

Much of what you want/need *can* be FTP'd, but the money the UnixTeX project receives from tapes is used to support further development in UnixTeX and to provide a UnixTeX support center. (yes, that's right, when GFtoDVI doesn't compile on your system, there's a number you can call to talk to somebody at UW to find out what you need to do to fix it).
