I need to accent letters with a tensor sysmbol in Tex. The tensor symbol is similary to \vec EXCEPT that I need to use a double headed arrow ie: $\tensor A$ should give <-> A There is a double arrow symble in the plain text fonts, but using mathaccent will not work (it ends up going through the letter instead of above). Non Metafont solutions would be appreciated. How about overstriking a superscript double arrow:
$\rlap{A}^{^\leftrightarrow}$
