We are trying to install 'TeX and Friends' on our new SUN-SPARC 330 running
SUNOS 4.0.3. .
As was suggested in the README-files (README and README.WEB-to.C) we
adjusted the site.h and the makefile files in directory tex82 before issuing
the command `make all`.
It turns out that whatever we try, the installation fails (we do not get
INITEX even).
What we see is that the C-compiler stops with a fatal error because of
too many errors which are announced as follows
" texd.h" line xx : syntax error near the variable yy
line xx : unknown size
(a type of error which occurs many times in the file texd.h and finally
causes the compiler to stop).
Does anyone over there has experienced this problem also? Is there a
solution? What do you suggest?
I will appreciate all suggestions very gratefully. Also I am prepared
to post the final working one as a hint for future TeX-users.
