Hi, My thesis is due in a week and I am struggling with two problems while doing the LaTex. I would appreciate anyone emailing me possible solutions (note: my level of understanding of LaTeX is not too good!). Thanks. Q 1: While citing a book (\cite command), I would like to specify the page number next to the reference number. e.g., [21, pp 26-42], [21, p 78]. Is there any simple solution? Q 2: I am using the \parbox{} command within \caption[]{} in fig or table environment to get a caption like Figure 4.6: This is an ................ example to do something. However, the captions come out in double spacing (as in the text). I tried using \renewcommand{\baselinestretch}{0.9} at the beginning inside the \parbox{} and reset it to 1.37 at the end. But it doesn't seem to be working. subhasis schaudhuri@ucsd.edu
