An idea which cropped up in a conversation the other day: Graphologists (sp?) claim to be able to deduce information about people's psychological make-up from their handwriting (e.g. whether they are aggressive, introverted, tidy, etc.). They do this by looking at the slant, weight of lines, whether the i's and j's are dotted, and other similar factors. If a Metafont handwriting-like font is defined, and these factors are parameterised, you could then generate customised handwriting fonts: aggressiveness = 0.1; % don't like arguments... tidyness = 0.1; % a true slob... paranoia = 0.9; % you're all going to flame me... \input handwriting This would be very useful for things like job applications, letters to the taxman, ransom notes, etc. Any takers?
